When it comes to cars or light trucks - modern, classic or antique - Fisher Auto Transmission is the transmission repair shop of choice.  With professional and courteous service as our hallmark, we have been providing complete transmission repair services for over 50 years.  In 1956, with the advent of the automatic transmission, Fisher Auto Transmission opened its doors in Fairfield, NJ.  Since the automatic transmission was a new option on cars, very few automotive and transmission repair shops knew how to repair these new transmissions.  In response, Russ Fisher decided to become trained in automatic transmission repair and became one of the first shops in the area to provide this new service.  Today, the transmission repair center is operated by Peter Fisher.
