Our Suspension services include:

Air Spring
Air suspension is used in place of conventional steel springs in heavy vehicle applications such as buses and trucks. It is broadly used on semi-trailers. The purpose of air suspension is to provide a smooth, constant ride quality. Modern electronically controlled systems almost always feature self-leveling along with raising and lowering functions. Although traditionally called air bags or air bellows, the correct term is air spring (although these terms are also used to describe just the rubber bellows element with its end plates). Trust the experts at Fisher Transmission and Fleet Service when your truck's air bag suspension needs service, repair, or replacement. Call us at 973-227-3452 to schedule an appointment.

Equalizers
Suspension equalizers are an effective aftermarket innovation for rear leaf suspensions. The equalizers are designed to aid in the carrying ability of your truck. Equalizers have the following advantages: fuel economy, increased safety, increased power, reduced tire wear, improved steering, and improved braking.

Most equalizer kits include U-bolts, Equalizer Bars, Shackle Plates, Greasable Bolts, Rollers, Spring Washers, Washers, U-bolt Plates, and Nylon Locking Nuts. For all your suspension equalizer needs, visit or call Fisher Transmission and Fleet Service in Fairfield, NJ 07004 today.

Hangers
Hangers are an effective way to enhance your truck's driving stability, handling, and suspension response. Hangers lower your truck's center of gravity, protecting it from rollovers in turns and corners and help you modify your truck's ground clearance. Whether you want to lower or raise your truck using hangers, call 973-227-3452 or visit Fisher Transmission and Fleet Service today.

Torque Arms & Walking Beams
A torque arm is a metal arm attached between a drive axle and the vehicle's frame. Torque arms prevent axle rotation in hub motors. It prevents the wheels from trying to rotate the axle relative to the vehicle's frame under acceleration (or in the opposite direction during braking).

A walking beam is an oscillating lever that pivots on a central axis and uses internal cam technology to transmit linear stroke in two directions (produces a reciprocating or reversible motion).

For all your torque arm and walking beam servicing needs, visit Fisher Transmission and Fleet Service in Fairfield, NJ 07004.

What our clients are saying about us

We have established longterm and stable partnerships with various clients thanks to our excellence in solving their automotive needs!

This is our first time posting an online review, but it couldn't be for a more deserving business with such exceptional employees. Fisher Transmission and Steve are a true class act! If there would be an option for 100 stars it wouldn't be enough to recognize their outstanding service, caring and competence. We were with our whole family in our RV on the 280, far from home, when smoke billowed out from the undercarriage late Thursday night. We waited until Friday morning and contacted a mechanic which had high online ratings who although was unable to handle a 35 foot Motorhome highly recommended we get towed to Fisher Transmission, saying as we found out for ourselves, they are truly top of the line. The heavy duty tow truck driver said the same when towing us - and oh were they correct! Upon arriving, Steve came out with cold water bottles - unasked - understanding we were stuck at the side of the road for many hours, and although he was booked solid, took from his own lunch break time to see if he can help us get back on the road. His demeanor, both humble and professional, with such calmness - was so remarkable and reassuring during the stressful experience. When he realized that our transmission would not be able to be repaired in time for our weekend trip to continue as planned, he generously offered us to leave our Motorhome in the lot over the weekend and rent a vehicle locally so we could join our friends for our weekend trip. Although the experience was definitely traumatic, meeting such exceptional people like Steve, made for the most wonderful memories. If you would like to speak to us personally please reach out to Steve - we gave him permission to give out our number - it's the least we can do to recognize such an extraordinary establishment staffed by such exceptional people. quotes-image
